Charlie Crist Endorsements Withdrawn By Two Republican Congressmen

MIAMI — Lately, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist has been having a tough time in his bid for U.S. Senate, and he's experienced another setback.

U.S. Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart confirmed Tuesday he and his brother, U.S. Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart, have rescinded their endorsement of Crist for the Republican primary.

Mario Diaz-Balart declined to say why they were rescinding their endorsement. He would say only that they notified Crist weeks ago and that he "left them no choice."

Mario Diaz-Balart said it's the first endorsement they've rescinded. The congressman said he had no plans to endorse another candidate.

Why any Latino would endorse a Republican is beyond me...why any Latino is a Republican is hard to understand. But, beyond that, the GOP seem to be devouring their own. Talk about your mean people.

Cubans are conveniently Latino ... they are Latino when necessary but not connected to the same struggles as other Latinos in the US ...

So true, the Diaz-Balart boys dont make a move unless Ileana Ros-Lehtinen does. She must have also endorsed Rubio. Always a crazy guy, with very bazaar ideas. I like Ileana, we are on opposite sides of most issues, however, she tries to do good things for her constituency.

Crist is done as a Republican. When one of his ex-bf's gets offered enough money and decides to sell his story, it's all over. Even if that doesn't happen their party is entering the season of the loony and if you've been dilly-dallying with democrats, you'll pay a price.

Rubio vs Crist.....think NY 23......just saying
split the conservative votes, and a Dem wins by DEFAULT....FL is exactly a 50/50 state, you ain't got a conservative vote to spare.

When does FL redistrict?

Rubio would never abide by a Republican Primary if Crist wins it, he will run as a Conservative or Tea Party candidate. I'm not sure if Crist would buck the RNC if Rubio wins the Primary, but I wouldn't be awfully suprised if Crist refuses to endorse Rubio, in effect handing a Democrat Crist voters. Most Crist supporters will be VERY liberal Republicans who have more in common with a Dem than Radical Right Wing Rubio, especially if Rubio gets very dirty about Crist's orientation. I think this will be a SERIOUS mud throwing BLOOD BATH primary.

I also claimed it practices preventive medicine, because numerous national health insurance plans in other countries require that the doctor is visited annually, which greatly increases that chances that a patient will know about a medical condition, rather than just not get check-up and let an outstanding medical condition get worse, not to mention that countries with national health insurance plans, also have private competitors, that offer better plans, and are very successful too.

I was branded crazy and a socialist, and my opinion was dispelled and rebuked.

I am just dying to leave the Banana Republic sometimes. I often just end IRL Trolling at family gatherings whenever a political discussion breaks out, and site Carlos Alvarez as an example of the corrupt Cuban-Republican establishment, really funny results too.

It's tough being a Cuban-American progressive, especially being a young one at that.

They believe it is just a fad, but as an economics major, I have really gravitated towards a Keynesian approach. They become infuriated when I back up my views with economic theory.

Unfortunately, in the Cuban American community, particularly Hialeah, that means you're a socialist who hates America and is being indoctrinated by liberal professors.

The worst examples of political intolerance always occur during family gatherings.

A spontaneous conversation regarding the economy broke out amongst numerous family members, and I did the unthinkable, I offered a perspective that differed from that of my uncles.

We were arguing about healthcare reform, and my uncle said that universal healthcare is a socialist scam. Just to shed some light on my uncle’s economic background, he is far from being wealthy; he lives in small cramped house in Hialeah and he is also uninsured, though I did not dare mention that during the debate.

I claimed that most countries with universal healthcare systems have longer life expectancy rates, and that having a national health insurance plan would actually be beneficial, citing that most uninsured people who become sick or in an accident, often end up going to Jackson Memorial Hospital, which is funded by Miami-Dade County, and the tax payer picks up the tab anyways.

Alex I replied to your comment the other day and didn't get posted so I'll try again and shorten it a bit. I recomment you watch and also show your family the movie Sicko, I know cubans don't like Michael Moore and the segment on Cuba we could have done without but the rest of the countries he highlights are very good also Frontline " Sick around the world" you can watch it on the PC. I am old enough to be your mom and am also Cuban and that was a constant argument with family and friends but honestly it's not much better in Jacksonville either. I want to move back to Broward.

They should show Michael Moore kissing Fidel ass, that should go down great.
