Gadgets become obsolete (Walkman, anyone?) web startups boom then bust (remember Friendster? Or Pets.com?), and it can be risky to immortalize a tech brand, gadget, or even person by tattooing it on your skin.

But that hasn't stopped these people, who've permanently inked pictures of Twitter, VHS tapes, Bill Gates, and more.

This is Gabe the website/TattooNOW.com guy's foot. He wanted an exploding computer to commemorate all those times we want to smash the things for not doing exactly what we want them to (of course, it can be interpreted as having broader implications about our modern technological state in general...or maybe I'm just crazy). Well anyway, I chose to depict an instant after the computer has exploded and all that remains are flying shards, keys (symbolically significant, of course), flaming circuitry, etc... - NickBaxter.com
