"Dr. Nancy" Canceled On MSNBC

MSNBC has canceled its noon health program, "Dr. Nancy," TVNewser reports.

The program, hosted by Dr. Nancy Snyderman, had struggled in the ratings: in November, it averaged just 55,000 A25-54 viewers for fifth place behind Fox News, CNN, HLN, and CNBC (in that order).

The move is MSNBC's latest attempt to address its dismal dayside ratings; the network recently announced plans to move Dylan Ratigan to the 4PM hour and launch a new show, hosted by Chuck Todd and Savannah Guthrie, at 9AM.

"Dr. Nancy" launched in June along with Ratigan's "Morning Meeting."
