Former Guantanamo Prisoners Apparently Behind Flight 253 Christmas Attack Over Detroit

ABC News:

Two of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up a Northwest Airlines passenger jet over Detroit were released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November, 2007, according to American officials and Department of Defense documents. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the Northwest bombing in a Monday statement that vowed more attacks on Americans.

American officials agreed to send the two terrorists from Guantanamo to Saudi Arabia where they entered into an "art therapy rehabilitation program" and were set free, according to U.S. and Saudi officials.

Ya know this guy was from Yemen, we started bombing Yemen last week with drones, killed some 64 people, women and children. However, we don't hear about this, because our News Media sucks. Isn't it ironic that after we start bombing them, they attempt to bomb us. We succeeded in killing allot of people, they succeed in none. Maybe if we would stop the killing and get out of the Middle East, they might stop coming here. Oh thats right they are already here. Within our own borders, there are so many foreigners here from all over the World, if they really wanted to hurt us, they could have already done it. I would not let them go just for that. Perhaps this congress can make the rules any way they wish. Either way, moving forward we should just set this up once and for all. The issue is unlike traditional war conflict these people are attacking civilians outside of a theater. Extending the Pentagon's power here creates a military state. Due process should only attach once they are in the civilian system.
