It's as much fun to choose the worst celebrity books of the decade as it is to pick the best books, though the pool is decidedly smaller for this one. They wrote both fiction and non-fiction and each will stand the test of time--or not. See if you remember all of them and let us know your picks.

i have two titles for the list. here's what we'll say by reichen lehmkuhl and the confession by james e. mcgreevey.

i might be gay and they might be gay but these are not good books. they are a waste of trees.

Going Rogue - Former 1/2 Term Governor of AK (aka MsQuitter) may claim to have a Best Seller - but how many buyers will enshrine their autographed copy in a glass case like a gold medal, or make a quick buck on ebay? Never reading a word she & her ghost writer wrote. Am sure boxes of Going Rogue, even the autographed ones, will soon find their way into the "take one" from mega-churches around the country.

Harper Collins buried the non-fiction bar 10 feet down on this one with their surperb fact checking.
Too bad the book isn't about 400 pages longer - it would make a better door stop.

I have to agree with most of my fellow posters. "Going Rogue" is to literature as McDonalds is to five star cuisine. Just as greasy fast food will clog your arteries, reading that book will clog what is between your ears.

I'm glad to see Palin's book is on top of the list. It has to be the worst book of all time.

I understand that the publisher of Palin's book is actually losing money, now that her books are being sold for half price and in some cases are being given away for free. The original sales from Palin's book were actually pre-sales, and since those sales are all but dried up, she will not get the millions she thought she would. Her advance is contingent upon further sales beyond the pre-sales and it looks like it's just not happening.

Poor Sarah. She loses again!

I put the cover of "Going Rogue" on a book I got my brother for Christmas (his look of disappointment quickly changed when he realized it was just covering the book he really wanted).

Just reading the book jacket of "GR" was nauseating.

I guess NEXT year's list will include a lie packed, misquoted and fact free book by Palin's attorney, Thomas Van Flein.

On the subject of MISquoting, or deliberate disregard for facts, it's hard to top this one, by Bristol Palin's attorney (and her Mom's) .... in COURT papers!


Thomas Van Flein ACTUALLY quoted a Twitter post, by 'someone' calling himself Levi Johston05 in a court pleading?

Twitter posts? Really?

This is both hilarious and thought provoking.

The obvious conclusion is, as always: if he used a fake Twitter account to support his argument, what OTHER fake/false information is in the pleadings?

The numbers don't lie. "Going Rogue-An American Life", by best-selling author Sarah Palin, is the most powerful & popular autobiography of the 21st century, and arguably the best non-fiction work ever published in the English language.

I'm not sure puffho is a celebrity but I'd put her on the list right beside palin.
