Vick Vs. Vikings D

With one amazing 46-yard run in 2002, Vick won an overtime game for the Falcons and showed the world what he was capable of doing to opposing defenses.

I think the Music City Miracle belongs at number one... and as a Charger fan, I am most certainly not a Titans loyalist. I would put Robert Horry and LeBron's shots in my top five as well, along with Boise State. I'd round things out with DeWise's catch to preserve a perfect game, simply because it was not only a great catch but in an amazing situation.

As to all the whining about a lack of international representation, I think the best response is to give examples. That crazy Trinity play was a comment suggestion.

You Americans and your football. I was yawning practically throughout this whole list.

Mostly football and basketball, no women, and nothing, zip, nada from the rest of the world. Can you say, "provincial" HP?

Is this really the best? What a disappointing decade.

Surely you mean the best sports plays of the Decade SO FAR. Since the decade isn't over until the end of 2010. Oh, wait, this is a Professional SPORTS themed article! Counting and proper use of the Gregorian calendar are not requirements. Just knowing the Roman numeral of the next super bowl is important, the rest is just silly math.

Hate to break it to you, but this is the beginning of a new decade. Try counting 2000 as "1," 2001 as "2," etc.

Klopman is clearly a huge eagles fan; neither play really belongs on the best of the decade. I can't believe there wasn't any college basketball though, there have been some amazing plays there.

Usain Bolt's Olympic 100m dash has got to be in the top ten.

I've got to put my two cents in. The Derek Fisher shot in the 2004 playoffs with 0.4 seconds left was just unbelievable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR7Z1Pq2s5I

On top of the fact that Tim Duncan had hit an improbable shot, that 99 times out of 100 would have been the game winner, just a minute earlier.

Good shot, yes. But it was impossible. There is no way that could be done in four-tenths of a second. It was a gift from the official timekeeper. He caught the ball in mid-air, landed, took a step, went up and shot. In .04. Impossible.

Where are those back-to-back touchdowns during the Patriots-Tennessee game this season? Between Brady and Moss?
