Designer Diane von Furstenberg was born on New Year's Eve 63 years ago today. She went on to create an empire based on a classic wrap dress, and these days the proud grandmother refuses to have any cosmetic work done. In 2008 she told the Huffington Post: "I'm sure that a lot of women look at me and say 'Why doesn't she do anything to her face?' and I can understand that. But every time that I have contemplated it, I just feel like I would erase part of who I am and who I have been; and I cannot erase any moment of my life because they have been so intense and so meaningful."
