Michelle's Snazzy Michael Kors Suits (PHOTOS, POLL)

First Posted: 03/18/10 06:12 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 04:05 PM ET

Michelle Obama has seemingly identified her suit of choice: a Michael Kors short-sleeved, collared and buttoned blazer with a matching pencil skirt. She even owns the set in three colors--yellow, red and gold. And each has slightly different details. Check out Michelle's Michael Kors suits and tell us which are totally suitable for a first lady and which are style snoozes. (Props to Mrs. O for first noticing this.)

All of these are good looks for her but she is especially lovely in the yellow.

I'm not a big Kors fan in general...I think he's overrated. But Mrs. Obama could make anything look beautiful because she is such a beautiful person inside and out. The suits--I could take them or leave them.

Michelle Obama is usually stunning in her outfits-especially at the Obama's first state dinner-see the designer & the dress-it took over 4 weeks to make and more than 40 people to make it! http://j.mp/4oLftz

maracel, does anyone know what that dress cost? I think it was only 20 people, but still, a beautiful dress. I am sure it will end up in the Smithsonian.

That is a good way to decrease unemployment in country, although not sure that was her primary concern.

I just wish someone would PLEASE stop telling me what Michelle Obama is wearing. It's so bor-ing.

If her husband would live up to some of the things he SAID he was going to do, then maybe I would care....

Firstly, it is entirely your choice to read what Michelle Obama is wearing. No one is forcing you to read it.

Secondly, perhaps you could be explicit about what he has not done. I follow his accomplishments pretty carefully, after listening to his campaign promises and reading his campaign platform pretty carefully. He has set about to do exactly what he said he would.

He prevented a world banking collapse and consequent depression.

The large banks have reimbursed TARP funds with dividends to the taxpayers.

Healthcare reform has passed both the house and senate for the first time ever.

His policies have turned the economy around, and unemployment (a lagging indicator) started to turn around in November.

The pullout from Iraq. is on target.

There is new focus on Afghanistan, as promised.

He has initiatied the most sweeping environmental initiatives of any president ever, as promised. This is the most important of all his promises kept, as it is the future of America, your future and your children's future.

Guantanamo is on track to be closed down, with delays caused by making sure the inmates face appropriate justice.

That is quite some record for less than a year in office, so heaven knows what you are talking about. Please enlighten us.

Fashion Alert: Style Section appears to be having "pink bunny" deja vu.

Oh nevermind, carry on...

"Pink Bunny" never went away. Reincarnated. Here. Right now.

usually you really cant go wrong with michael kors. i definitely like these suits better than some of mo's other outfits, but the cap style sleeve could be more flattering if it were a little longer. i like the red color on mo.

To "Southern Wisdom" (is there such a thing)?. I think GW Bush's jig on the White House steps and Cheney's "peppering" his friend with shot and oh, Iraq etc., were far more foolish and undignified.

Before anyone dashes off to some discount store looking for Michael Kors; many designers have their boutique lines and ready to wear. Isaac Mizrahi is a good example of that, so is Michael Kors. That being said, even a low end Michae Kors is a very good find in a discount store.
I seriously doubt that Ms. O has a full time makeup artist hanging around the East Wing all day, I think she has hair and makeup people who travel with her on official trips, and who are on call for public appearances. I think all FL's have had this.. They may even have hair and makeup people who show up each morning to help them get ready for the day.. I don't recall anyone ever specutating about this in the past. I think these stylist types are probably on some sort of retainer, and used as needed. Why is this suddenly Big News ?

Negative posters on this thread are T3@-B@993rs. FLOTUS glows in all colors. Finally we have a stylish, smart, lovely FLOTUS who dares to dress with elan and doesn't have helmet hair while standing around with a Stepford smile on her mug.

She should stick to the more experienced designers, such as Michael Kors. She looks so much better their designs.

These 3 showed outfits are really nice and fit her very well. That you call this a "flower pot" shows that you don't judge the fashion but the person, what is obvious. When you say she is "fat", even if you say it in spanish "gorda" a lot of people understand. If you say from a picture of her with Carla Bruni "the beauty and the beast", I don't think you mean Carla Bruni as " the beast". You are very often naughty and insulting in your comment about Michelle Obama as a person. Unfortunately we understand why. Sad.
