Dravannti Johnson Forgets Which End Of The Field Is His (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03/18/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:10 PM ET

Texas Longhorns tight end Dravannti Johnson appeared to forget which side of the field belonged to his team during last night's BCS Championship game. Late in the third quarter the Longhorns scored a touchdown to pull within 11 points of Alabama. Texas tried a daring onside kick, which was ultimately successful after referees determined that a Longhorn recovered the ball. During that time, however, Johnson twice gestured his hand toward the Texas end zone, a move which would support Alabama's claim to the football.

One other player (No. 3) appears to briefly make the same mistake, but Johnson makes the error twice during a thirty-second span. After the second misfire, a teammate runs over to correct him. Scroll down for the video as well as three screenshots that illustrate the oversight.

Well, clearly the player was LYING! That is, applying the same standards the left applies; to George W. Bush and Sarah Palin...

HP-you guys are making something out of nothing? So he just got banged around around after a play and his arm was pointing the wrong way?

Jim Marshall on the Vikings in the 70s ran for a touchdown. He is now a US Supreme Court Justice in Minnesota.

I cannot believe that this is considered a story. Mack Brown's shoe came untied during the game too. Where is the story about that?

After 3 quarters of having Alabama football players smacking him in the head it's a wonder he didn't think it was a baseball game :0

It looks like a few Texas players are pointing the wrong way at the beginning.

It was the BCS National Championship game. I'd excuse the player for being a little confused.
