Lesson Learned from Ensign. If you have a scandal (Democrats) don't immediately resign from your Job. Resigning is admitting defeat. And in this case where there could be criminal charges admiting anything isn't always the best thing to do.

That is unless there is something on tape or email then you just need to come clean and quit.

I wonder if Dean Heller really believes that Sen. Ensign really cares what anyone thinks of his double dipping.

It's amazing that this guy will continue to reap a PENSION even if he doesn't get re-elected. But, if the voters of Nevada want to increase this guy's PENSION amount by re-electing him again, even though most of the citizens in the state don't receive a pension, even for doing a good job, I guess Nevada gets what it deserves...

All I can say is Tiger Woods is dropped like a hot potato but Ensign gets to keep reaping a paycheck, healthcare benefits, and PENSION for all of his shenanigans...

I don't think he's hurting the state. I mean, considering we have a horrible Republican governor, I think he outshines Ensign's affair. If anybody, Ensign is just hurting Republicans overall. But hey, that's a good thing for us Dems!

Guess Las Vegas has to change its slogan , from"what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas", to "What happens in Vegas moves to Colorado in c/o Se.John Ensign".

More than anything, Ensign - along with Sanford - has hurt The Family.

During the Clinton years I got tired of having to defend him, but that was just one guy, now the Republicans have to defend a whole host of creepy characters. That must be really depressing!
And what gets me is they don't see how all these failed human beings are dragging the whole party down. How they think their numbers are going to rebound in 2012 is beyond me.

prostitution is illegal in Clark County. the government-paid health insurance Ensign's co-adulterer got [as did her cuckold husband, and spawn], counts as pay for sex. Just another GOPer who is a hater of christianity and the bible.

It is time for Ensign to quit the senate position and become a full time custodian of the "C" street apartment.

The Republicans fail to realize the true facts about this matter. The affair is not hurting the state. What is hurting the state is how you Republicans’ are handling this matter and your moral duplicity. Also, what is hurting the state is the initiator of the affair and his blatant hypocrisy.

If you Repugs insist that the affair is hurting the state then get rid of the crisis by getting rid of Ensign. What’s hurting you Repugs and the state of Nevada is the fact you are getting snared by your own unadulterated hypocrisy.

Accountability has been lost amongst our politicians. They do not feel the need to own up to anything they said, did or encouraged others to do. This madness has got to stop, and we need to hold them to a higher standard, not a loser one, than the average American.
