Who gives a (expletive Deleted!) about him any more. Don't bother trying to figure anything out, except how he's gonna repay all that money gained illegaly.

3 of the more infamous 'roiders of the last few yrs have been McGwire, Canseco and little Jason Giambi. What do these three have in common? Tony LaRussa for a skipper. And LaRussa has the huevos to claim before Mark's confession he had no idea?! I hurt my neck from shaking my head so much. If MLB were serious about cleaning this up they'd check on these managers who just happened to be looking the other way for years and years.

Take a look at the Cardinal teams after Tony took over. They looked like the brutes in every Looney Tunes cartoon.

If you look at past photos of Mark McGwire vs. present photos it's easy to surmise he was taking steroids.

In past photos he looks like the Incredible Hulk; today he looks like Clay Aikens.

Sorry.... but I don't get the big deal. Everybody who has hit a baseball far in the last 10 years has been put on a list of some kind. David Ortiz, Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Canseco, Jeff Bagwell, A-Rod... you might as well just ban the whole sport. Go look at football, hockey, basketball, even soccer. If there is an edge to get, people are going to try to get it.

Don't just look at the main professional sports either. You can't say that this man is a bad guy because he tried to lengthen his career and make more money for his family. He is a husband and a father. Any father out there struggling would do the same to help his family have a better life.

Looks like MLB needs to call in Zelda Rubinstein to clean house of all its poltergeists, and that includes the steroid abusers.

Anti-drug complainers are complaining that McGuire took legal drugs to enhance his performance. They further complain that he used the method of his choosing, this, in order to make more money, hence to better provide for his family. It's laudatory to sacrifice oneself for family. Decriminalize all drugs. Let the market live to the fullest.

Those who are responsible for criminalizing performance-enhancing drugs should also quit using all performance enhancing modalities and devices in their own lives otherwise you are not playing fairly, and preventing the use of a level playing field for all. For example, stop wearing glasses; You are depriving those who can't afford glasses equal access to any place that requires reading such as schools and jobs. We should also stop using cars for commuting because it's cheating the walkers. Don't wear clothes because you should be able to withstand the heat and cold on your own. Don't live in buildings and other shelters because you should not cheat the weather of its effects. Don't build ships that protect the borders because competing nations should have equal access to our natural resources. Write long hand, not word process, and do not use a pen or pencil. Scribble with your fingernail. Don't feed animals growth hormones; It's cheating them out of performing naturally in their growth cycle. Disallow moneyed influence on Capitol HIll because single individuals do not have equal access.

I don't understand why we don't wipe these records from the books. They are no more real than the strength that achieved them. What an awesome loser.

Just watched McGuire's live interview with Bob Costas....truly sad, watching a grown man cry....he knows he is not going to the Hall of Fame....he knows what he did was stupid...but, I have very little sympathy for him....he knew what he was doing was wrong, so he shouldn't have done the damn drugs....

Finally! The truth -- that everyone already suspected -- comes out. I can't wait to hear all the double-standard excuses that McGwire fans will roll-out to defend him in comparison to Bonds, Sosa, Giambi, Petit, Clemens, Palmieri, etc, etc, etc...
