An Aurora man who lost vision in his left eye after a piece of ice fell from a semi-truck, broke through his window and struck him in the face, filed a lawsuit this week, hoping his story will get truck drivers to clear the ice and snow from their trucks before hitting the road.
Peter Morano was driving east on Butterfield road when a sheet of ice dislodged from the top of a semi truck and came crashing through his window, will likely never regain vision in his left eye, NBC Chicago reports.
"I can see light and gross shapes, but that's about all," the 41 year old business man says.
