Designer Giorgio Armani told Italy's Corriere della Sera newspaper that he will never sell his fashion empire, Reuters reports.
"And I'm not stepping aside either, as long as I can, touch wood, keep up this pace. I don't give a damn about a super-golden pension, I wouldn't know what to do with it," he added.
Armani, 75, recently suffered from a bout of hepatitis and was rumored to be organizing his successors, but it still seems that his work hasn't suffered one bit. The designer is even set to open a hotel in the world's tallest building in Dubai, which he called, "a special thing...a sort of monument to what I have done in my life."
Armani's fashion house is worth about $2.4 billion a year in sales.
