Conan: 'NBC Is Run By Brainless Sons Of Goats' (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03/21/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:15 PM ET

"I am not allowed to say things like, 'NBC's headed downhill faster than a fat guy chasing a runaway cheese wheel,'" Conan told his "Tonight Show" audience on Tuesday.

"NBC is run by brainless sons of goats," he continued...In Spanish.

Time is running out on Conan's run as host of the flagship NBC late night program, and he's still firing shots across the bow of his employer. What does he have to lose?

Conan O’Brien @$40 Million Cheaper To Boot Than Jay Leno @$150 Million
Posted on 20 January 2010 by Bill Gorman

The Peacock Network has agreed in principle to fork over $32.5 million to Conan O’Brien to leave as “The Tonight Show†host and give Jay Leno the chance to reclaim his mantle as the king of late-night talk shows, sources said yester day.

The deal also reportedly provides severance pack ages totaling $7.5 million for the show’s loyal staffers, many of whom packed up with their families and moved across the country to work for O’Brien, whose previous show taped in the Big Apple.

[...]

The decision to let O’Brien walk apparently came down to who was cheaper to let go.

Leno has an ironclad, “brilliantly written†agreement that guarantees his production company a staggering $150 million if NBC Universal axes his flailing primetime show, an insider said.

Perhaps Conan needs a lawyer upgrade.

Sorry Mr. Zucker it's not about talent at all.
It's about Jay being Jay.

What is lost here Part 2

You may have guessed ..the guy was Me. I lost it all because the Chairman of the company made some deal on the market that made him a whole 100K and SANK a 300M company in the scandal.

BUT I DID NOT WHINE!

For you Flamers look it up before you call me a liar. (nasdaq DCTI ) Digital couriers Inc. Long since delisted but there is still info out there if you need confirmation.

Conan should have shown the same character. THEN the offers would be FLOODING in. No one respects what he is doing.

That is all.

I'm not loving it......
I am tired of corporations treating humans like meat.
That is why I am boycotting NBC TV.
They conduct dirty business.

I watch Stewart and Letterman if I watch late night comedy at all.
But now, I will not watch NBC for any reason or it's affiliates.

It is sad that Letterman took the ratings back when his scandal broke....
That is where America is heading...to flaming scandals.

Our children don't have much to look forward to.

What has been lost here. PART 1

A true story.

I know a guy who gave up everything for a company at the time it was one of the fastest rising companies on the NASDAQ and was their STAR producer. Lead in Sales and traveled around the world at the drop of a hat to do company business and One day while actually on the phone with two heads of a fortune 10 Company and a senior officer of the company he worked for getting confirmation of the biggest deal / partnership the company had made EVER, one that would make him wealthy beyond his dreams.............

As they made plans for him to fly out as their guests to celebrate this huge deal.

A knock came at his door. It was Fed-ex.

It was a notice of Termination.

Without missing a beat they guy finished making the plans for his Superior to enjoy that invitations as he had to be elsewhere that week and apologized wished them all well and close the call.

When he told his superior what had happened he couldn't believe it. Was Stunned.

He has been his best character reference to this day always telling this story to show the Class and Professionalism shown by him as his world fell down around him.

CONAN HAS RANKED #1 OR TIED FOR #1 AMONG BROADCAST NETWORKS IN 18-49 RATING FOR NINE OF THE LAST 11 WEEKS

JIMMY FALLON DELIVERS HIS HIGHEST TOTAL-VIEWER RESULT IN 16 WEEKS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – January 14, 2010 – NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien†has topped all broadcast and cable competition in the key late-night demographic of adults 18-49 for the week of January 4-8. At 12:35 a.m. ET, “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon†also delivered bigger 18-49 audiences than any cable or broadcast competition in the time period.

Sorry but NBC lied about the ratings.

No more NBC for us.

LOL funny Conan....You will be missed.

Too bad Johnny Carson has passed away, it would be a riot to have him visit Conan on the set and demand he get his show back.

Given the events during the Carson-Leno-Letterman debacle and their notoriety, it is reasonable to assume that Mr O'Brien knew that he was working for an organization that has a habit of throwing people under the bus. It is also reasonable to assume that NBC, being so willing to throw someone under the bus, is similarly insensitive to the fact that the employee might give them a hard time about being so treated.

Mr. O'Brien chose to work for these people. His agents negotiated a good contract for him, so he will be financially fine. As far as NBC goes, they deserve every little barb he shoves at them.

The lesson here is simple: Never be a soldier for the company. In the end, they will bend you over.

It is incredible to me that for many years Conan has worked for a company "NBC" that has made him very rich. Now, they are the worst people on earth and according to him sons of goats.

I say take your millions Conan and shove it . In my opinion, you are not funny and your show will never have the prestige of Johnny Carson or Jay Leno or David Letterman.

NBC made a huge mistake with this one but good grief fix it and lets move on already.

Mr. O'Brien is so right and Keith Obermann is their #1 high paid idiot without any ratings and yet he makes for good comedy. Maybe he could take over Conan's spot.

Dear, dear Conan.

It's like watching a 40-year old Harvard frat boy who, for the first time in his myopic, silver spoon-fed life, has found out that he's not quite as sharp as he believed he was.

Not that Jay's funny either.
