Sarah Palin's In Touch Cover FLOPS

First Posted: 03/22/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:15 PM ET

In Touch paid a pretty penny for the Palins, but the Palins didn't deliver.

After the gossip magazine paid $100,000 for a cover featuring Sarah Palin and daughter Bristol — with their respective sons and the cover line, "We're Glad We Chose Life" — the cover flopped on the newsstand, the New York Post's Page Six reports:

Despite Palin's huge book sales and TV ratings, sources said In Touch sold about 500,000 copies on newsstands, about half the number it sold a few weeks ago with the late Brittany Murphy on the cover.

OF COURSE THIS ISSUE ONLY SOLD 1/2 of the previous issue's numbers. Palin's approval is under 50% AND our nation is split on the abortion issue. Having pro-life on the cover does not entice pro-choice people to purchase the issue.

Yet another example of Palin being paid big bucks and failing to deliver. When will people learn?

Yeah. Palin chose life after admitting publicly that she contemplated an abortion while she was out of state where no one would have been the wiser. She was contemplating it obviously for a long time because she did her best to hide that pregnancy. People she worked with did not even know! When you see photos of her at the Conference of Governors, she did a good job hiding a pregnancy that had only a couple months to go.
I hope the other magazines and television programs take notice of this flop finally. That includes you Oprah! We don't want to see/hear anything more about these twits.

Sarah Palin is the pro choice cover girl. She chose life, ok, not everyone does. We need to have some cover stories on women that chose abortion. It's nothing to be ashame of, we all have our rights and our reasons.

I'm not for that. I'm pro choice but an abortion is not something to celebrate. A baby is.

Another comment about that "In Touch" cover.

The photo of Rachel Zoe has been photoshopped.

The first photos, shown on HP, did not have the same concentration-camp bones digging through the skin.

The current de facto leader of the Republican Party -- touted as presidential material by some Republicans -- paid to do a shoot for "In Touch"!

Those children didn't choose life. Their mothers chose life for them.

There is a subtle but hugely significant difference.

"Finding love after Levi"?!

Hint, Bristol--abstinence is most successful when you do not look for love!

Your life is as complete as you make it, man or no man.

I suspect the emphasis on choosing lfe on the cover hurt sales. I saw the magazine today and felt repelled. Had the story been about babies it would have given me warm fuzzies, not cold pricklies. This sort of magazine isn't usually so political. Actually, it is a lousy magazine anyway, People is ten times more substantial.

How can you say you 'choose' life when you don't believe in choice?

Sarah Palin is like a old worn pair of shoes. It was good when they (she) was know not it's time to throw them (her) away already.

She's like a unexpected house guest that just don't want to go back home. Go home Sarah, Go home.

Nah, she's more like her very own Naughty Monkey Double Dare "F-Me" pumps - they shore is purty, but after a couple minutes your toes are curled and you ache all the way up to your teeth.

So, the Quitter and the unwed Teen Mom.... they are telling us they chose life.
I thought you didn't have a choice, sarah and bristol...
and that you wanted to take away everyone else's choice...

Yet, you choose to put yourselves (and to exploit your children) on the cover of a MSM rag.

I guess your "choice" amounts to "how much does it pay me?". The real and only republican mantra.

Bristol is open game now - no more whining about being picked on by the media. She put herself out there.
