A United Airlines flight left O'Hare International Airport Wednesday morning, bearing supplies and aid workers bound for Haiti.
Walgreens donated 15,000 pounds of bottled water for the flight. The 757 aircraft is also carrying donated tents and communications equipment.
United doesn't ordinarily fly to Haiti, but spokeswoman Robin Urbanski says the airlines plans to fly up to 30 relief trips in the coming weeks, including one scheduled to leave as early as Thursday.
