On Sunday, Shedd Aquarium visitors will be able to see the aquarium's latest addition--a 5-week-old beluga whale--for the first time.

The aquarium's underwater gallery will be open and the calf, who had trouble swimming at first, can show off his new and improved skills.

Ken Ramirez, the Shedd's vice president of animal collections and training, explained the whale's progress and gave NBC Chicago a sneak peek of the calf in action.
