Talk about a grumpy old man.
Two elderly Brooklynites got into a brawl over a parking spot Monday afternoon in Borough Park. The fight left 99-year-old Steve Pulwers with two black eyes and a broken nose, and landed 83-year-old Gersh Gofman in jail.
Gofman allegedly attacked Pulwers with a "metal steering-wheel lock" after the near-centenarian asked him to move his car.
The fight started after Pulwers, who lives above a doctor's office, saw Gofman park his car in front of the building's parking lot. When Pulwers knocked on Gofman's window to let him know that the doctor was trying to get by, Gofman then allegedly started beating the older man.
Pulwers told the New York Post:
The doctor honked the horn, one, two, three, four times. I say, "Gentleman, the doctor wants to go into the garage." He did not answer. He then got out and takes a metal tool and hits me. He knocked me to the ground.
Pulwers is recovering from his injuries while Gofman is charged with assault, menacing and harassment.
Pulwers is a survivor of Stalin's forced-labor camps and will turn 100 in two months.
