Lady Gaga On 'Boiling Points' In 2005: Young Gaga Loses It On MTV Reality Show (VIDEO)

Stefani Germanotta, who we now know as Lady Gaga, appeared on MTV's 'Boiling Points' in 2005. The reality show puts unsuspecting subjects in irritating situations and awards them $100 if they stay cool and collected for the duration of the prank.

In this case several restaurant patrons, including Gaga, had their meals taken away before they were finished with them--then returned, covered in trash. The goal was to make it through 14 minutes without blowing up.

Unfortunately, young Gaga hit her boiling point before that and forfeited the prize money.

"This is disgusting!" she tells the waitress. "Who puts that in their mouth? Would you put that in your mouth? There's shit all over it!"

The other contestants had more patience and won the money.

Wanna see her looking really cute? Check out the video of her at The Cutting Room in 2006: she was already calling herself Lady Gaga but hadn't changed her look yet. Her music was kinda jazzy, not the dance synth/pop that made her famous. She rocked the house!

Gaga is AMAZING !! She is a self made icon at 23.

To the haters, lets break it down:
Can she play piano like Franz Liszt or van Cliburn? no. she's still better than 98% of piano players. Can she sing like like Maria Callas or S Brightman? no. she's still better than 98% of singers. marketing- the local pizza place, exxonmobil, cruiselines all need to market. In her chosen field, one of the world's most competitive, she has marketed herself better than everyone, and 99.999% of the companies in the world. She writes damn good pop songs, and gives a helluva performance. And she has the unflappable poise in tv interviews that most 40 year old broadcasters do not. She speaks intelligently on a number of topics, and had the guts to pursue her dream.
Some may not like her style or her product, to each his/her own. But give the girl her due.

serious question for the gaga fans. why do you think she is so great/different/revolutionary etc?? not picking a fight, i simply don't know much of her work and would like to know why there is such a frenzy. i have friends who adore her, yet whenever i here a pop song and ask if this is the infamous gaga, it never is. i only know the song paparazzi and the one that says "just dance dance dance". neither of these seem really any different to me than any other current pop. just as annoying as that song tik tok by kesha (i think). nor does she have a unique voice ala rihanna. please help.

mahermaduke, seriously?? Buy her CD The Fame. It has 14 songs on it you should be hearing NOW. I can't stop listening to it. LOVE lady Gaga, LOVE her music. It's that simple. Here videos are all over the TV. If you haven't heard or seen her, then your avoiding seeing brilliance. Your loss. Gaga has range. She stands out.

You probably fell for Vanilla Ice and the Backstreet Boys too. Probably thought "Who Let The Dogs Out" was song of the year. Ga ga is rehashed Madonna at best and that isn't saying much other than you have the musical taste of a 12 year old.

I used to not like her. I thought she was shallow and obnoxious, although her songs were catchy. Seeing old videos of her on Youtube made me think a little differently, but tt was her performance on SNL that made me start thinking differently- her outfits were so outlandish that I began to appreciate them for performance art, and when she sat down at the piano and really sang I realized what a great voice she had. I started listening to her songs with a more open mind and realized that the shallowness is intentional and somewhat ironic, and that her brand of pop music is very forward-thinking. She knows what people want to dance to, and I really enjoy watching her perform now. Realizing she had a brain was what made me give her a second chance, and now I loooove her. My favorite songs are probably "Paparazzi" and "Bad Romance"- watch the video for the second, it's wild.

I find her real self to be far more attractive than her current persona. As I understand it she was actually a talented musician but she's content to be this generation's Madonna and her "music" attains Madonna's level of mediocrity.

Her performances and music are so entertaining. She looked so sweet back then, it is amazing how styling can change your appearance. I don't blame her for getting mad, I probably would have said a lot worse. That was so gross!
