OPPORTUNITY ABOUNDS.

What is becoming increasingly clear, is that President Obama's coattails aren't very long. The returns of 2008 were NOT correlated to any "Obama magic", just a generalized rejection of incumbent Republicans.

His campaign failures on behalf of Deeds in VA, Corzine in NJ and Coakley in MA are NOT explained by "local politics".

Simply, and truly, Mr. Obama's support is a mile wide but only and inch deep.

In Other Breaking News "Sky is Blue, Clouds are White and Grass is Green."

Duh, the Republicans are acting like people who want to gain power. Democrats do the same thing. How is this news?

Where is that Teabagger majority hiding nowadays ?

If the Republicans would only be a fiscally conservative, socially liberal party and escape from the theocrats, they would have a chance.

It's kind of hard to say you're a fiscal conservative when every conservative president in our lifetimes has spent their entire time in office making sure they out-deficit-spent every president before them.

According to the latest hand count (done after the polls closed), Brown may not have won the election. Too bad Martha was too eager to concede before the final vote was in.

Wonder what happens if the actual tally shows he lost before he is sworn in?

And another thing, what have the republicans done for us lately? Besides stopping everything that COULD do us some justice, theyve done absolutely nada!

They have no plans for healthcare that is meaningful and that would benefit the PEOPLE instead of the corporations. They have no plan for better education other than to teach more neocons how to swindle better the people's money. They have no plans to solve the economic crisis other than lowering taxes on the rich and the same old trickle down crap they've been preaching, but nothing trickles down but their scandals.

Name just ONE thing the republicans can or will do for the people that will benefit ALL the people!

As messed up as we have been under their rule, anybody would be a newborn "f00l" to vote for a rethuglican in the fall unless there is a worse democrat running. To return them to governance has got to be the biggest mistake we will ever make as a country.

Remember one thing people, if we don't constantly remember from where we've come and how we got here, we will definitely allow for it to happen again by sleeping on the issues.

you know whats going to be interesting is watching how Republicans are going to fix the economy, unemployment, and health care reform once they take over the Government and do it with the Democrats obstructing them on everything and than do it after just one year. If they do it Americans win, if they don't than vote the bums out.

I don't see where hireing a Mr. Nude Pin Up Centerfold to the senate has actually done their image any good or fostored their family value big tent. In other states it's still shocking!

Um, so I get that republicans want people to vote for them, but what exactly do they want to do with those votes? What are their plans? Dump more money into DoD?

It will help if they spread their meager money a little further.

The primaries may be brutal for republicans. They have t-baggers popping up everywhere.

I think the Dems have plenty of time. As long as the economy recovers and they don't panic, this may work out just fine. Lost 20 or 30 house seats that we probably never should have had, and 3 or 4 senate seats.

And not only are they preaching at the altar of NO, but their mantra is that they need to make sure even LESS gets done.

Failure IS the GOP's strategy, it seems.

All indications suggest that Barry and the Dimbulbs are going to double down on their failed strategy of pushing the country left-ward. Good plan -- let them see firsthand that true-blue lefties comprise no more than 15% of the electorate. 2010 will be a bloodbath.

How is cutting taxes 275 billion and sending 50,000 more troops to a hot war zone and bailing out the largest banks in America a push to the hard left?

I don't know... I keep up with the news, and I don't think that there is a political entity called "Barry and the Dimbulbs."

Maybe you're thinking of a band or something.

We tried the dreamy, wish and hope stuff and its not only not working its costing more jobs except for the newly hired lawyers we have to provide to the terrorists. We need common sense now and that would be the conservatives whatever they call themselves.

America was losing 700,000 jobs a month under Bush, for almost eight years.

That has improved to only 400,000 jobs a month under Obama.

So please, explain to the class how it's "costing more jobs". Does that mean 300,000 laywers a month are getting hired?

BTW, under George Dubai Bush, 320 terrorists were prosecuted in civilian courts, but only 20 were prosecuted in military tribunals. So for extra credit, please explain how GWB's "weak on terror" mollycoddling of terrrrrrrerrrrrrists is "common sense".
