Are you serious HP I think ut was more like Peterson having butterfingers that ruined this game. Brett has the heart of a lion and it showed on Sunday! That loss was not his fault!

Don't know nuthin' 'bout this. I was contemplating:

Ang iglalanggikit maoy morpemang ginadugtong sa tema sa pulong para maggamag bag-ong pulong.

Think about it.

Flag on the headline. You don't have to like Favre to acknowledge he had a great season. This was just petty and mean-spirited. Is the editor a Packer's fan by chance?

It's very easy to write a headline like this without never ever playing the game. I would've made the same throw too.

And your team would have probably lost, too.

Frustrating to see a headline like this. Brett Favre is the most accomplished QB in the history of the NFL and was essential in even putting the Vikings in the place they were in. Additionally, there were 6 fumbles that had the opportunity to allow the Vikings to win the game on numerous occasions.

Also, I see people hating on Favre, calling him a choke-artist, a 'prima donna', etc--saying that Peyton Manning is a real class-act QB. If people don't remember, Peyton Manning had a QB rating of 35 and threw 4 interceptions vs. New England to blow an opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. Good QBs make mistakes--everyone makes mistakes. Favre is still the best there is.

Brett didn't throw it away. He fought like no one I have ever seen. The saints game plan was to take out Brett, and he took alot of hits.
He gave the the Vikings a great season and this game could have went either way it was so close. Thanks Brett, the Vikings were fun to watch this season.

Unfair title. The saints did a great job calling the right coverages and going for strips. On a side note, I heard on Minnesota public radio this morning that 80% of minneapolis/st.paul tvs were tuned to the game.

I wish him a great retirement and many relatively painless days.

I'm a Saints fan and was actually sad to see Bret go out on such a sour note. Nobody knows pain more than Saints fans, so gloating is not an option.

Right on, fellow Saints fan.

Brett Favre is one of the all time best quarterbacks in NFL history AND one of the toughest men I have ever seen, a real players player...This is also coming from a Saints fan with nothing but respect for the man from Kiln, Mississippi....

HuffPo, bad headline on the sports page. That's not the appropriate place to editorialize. Obviously, the headline writer was rooting for the Vikings to win. Show some respect for Saints fans. This game wasn't just about Brett Favre.

"This game was not just about Brett Favre."

But it seemed that way, didn't it?

Especially where I live - near Brett's hometown.

I'm saddened by the disrespect Favre is getting here. N.O. has a big play defense and they created those turnovers. 99.99% of you guys who are mouthing off couldn't carry his jock strap to your mama's house if you hired a moving van.

Me too I can't believe they have the audacity to talk about Brett like that!
