Colorado Lobbyists Would get Fast Lane To Capitol With Proposed Bill

DENVER - A plan to allow lobbyists to bypass the security lines at the State Capitol is being attacked by critics as favoring special interests instead of the general public.

House Bill 1092 would require lobbyists to undergo a criminal background check, register with the Secretary of State and pay a fee of no more than $300 for the right to show a photo i.d. instead of going through the metal detectors.
