Obamas To Cast Absentee Ballots In Illinois

The future of the Democratic Party in Illinois may seem uncertain for some, but when Barack and Michelle Obama fill out their absentee ballots next week, Illinois Dems have at least two votes to count on.

Monday night, a White House official told reporters the First Couple requested absentee ballots and "they will be arriving at the White House shortly," Lynn Sweet reports.

The Obama's plan to vote before the polls open on Feb. 2, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The president's former Senate seat, along with the Illinois governor spot, state legislative seats and county offices are up for grabs.
