That sign was real. And as it was raining...there were fewer signs than one would normally see at an event like this, so it really stood out.

The sign is actually TRUE. That guy with the sign is Marc Headley. Watching Conan make jokes about Scientology celebrities rocked his worldview, along with the John and Ken show on KFI, and was part of the reason why Headley woke up from the cult. He writes about it in his book "Blown for Good"
