Why Does Everyone Want To Kill Jared Leto?

Jared Leto has starred in many films, but he hasn't made it through many of them unscathed. Whether he's shot to death, hit in the head with an axe, lit on fire, or having one or more limbs amputated, the characters he plays suffer terrible fates. Even in the films where you don't see him die, it is implied (In "Prefontaine" he dies in a car crash, In "Girl Interrupted" he is supposed to go to Vietnam). Either Leto's agent is trying to drop a serious hint, or the actor has masochistic tendencies. Here, we take a look at Leto's most gruesome roles to date.

Who is Jared Leto? I never heard of him. What are the 'many films' he supposedly starred in?
Are we now at a point in the movie business when you're only a famous star for 15 minutes?
Harrison Ford is a star; Johnny Depp is a star. Jared Leto?

well, I thought he was great in Requiem for a Dream. I have no idea about his personality but he is a good actor. It is funny, I hadn't paid attention. I think he survives in Basil, though.

p.s. I did see a picture of him snogging paris hilton though. so not much taste and brains then...

Weird. 30 Seconds to Mars isn't the *GREATEST* band in the world, but it's a good band. I'm not sure why everyone's complaining about how bad it supposedly is? Compared to what? It's better than Nickelback and Creed, that's for sure. It's better music than most of the male bands out here now.

Someone here mentioned he's abusive to women, but I did a Google search and didn't turn up a SINGLE HIT (pun not intended.) If he was abusive, there'd be at least one article, right? There's nothing.

All I can think is that there's some kind of trend to hate Jared Leto, which usually happens if the male lead of a band is "pretty". The same thing happened with Bush - everyone hated Gavin Rossdale, even though Bush produced some of the top music of that time. Even Kurt Kobain got hated on when he was alive, again, probably for being "pretty" and sensitive.

Here's the formula - the more attractive AND sensitive women find a man, the more men and feminist/"rebel" women hate him.

Going with firelord. Probably because the d-bag factor on this guy has reached epic proportions. Personally I think people getting hip to his game, like they have recently to John Mayer, would be wonderful.
