Apple Press Conference 2010: Stage Set For Apple Tablet To Be Revealed

03/29/2010 05:12 am ET | Updated May 25, 2011

The Apple press conference scheduled for today, Jan. 27, 2010, is only minutes away.

All signs suggest today's Apple press conference at 10 a.m. Pacific Time is the Apple Tablet announcement, and some executive slips have confirmed the tablet will be debuted.

Apple only says that it will be holding an event in San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and 1 p.m. Eastern Time to debut its "latest creation."

The Apple press conference invitation to the media brings back memories of a major Apple PC of the past: when the iPod was introduced.

That product launch on Oct. 23, 2001 led to a revolution of the music industry and ubiquitousness of the device over time.

It's unclear if the Apple Tablet will have the same affect, but if the buzz is any indication, it'll be a major player.

Steve Jobs is throwing his weight behind the product that'll be unveiled tomorrow, reportedly saying that the Apple Tablet "will be the most important thing I've ever done."

The Wall Street Journal reports on the possible uses of the Apple Tablet.
