Anne Hathaway Gets Her Hasty Pudding Award (PHOTOS)

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Oscar-nominated actress Anne Hathaway has received a good-natured ribbing from Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals student drama troupe.

The group's Woman of the Year was honored Thursday with a parade down Massachusetts Avenue near the university followed by a roast where she received her pudding pot from Harvard men in drag.

She joins a distinguished list of past recipients that includes Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall and Meryl Streep.

Hathaway was nominated for an Academy Award for best actress in 2009 for her role in "Rachel Getting Married."

After the parade, Hathaway was roasted on stage in typical Hasty Pudding Theatricals fashion where then she slew a "dragon."

Hasty Pudding Man of the Year Justin Timberlake is to be honored Feb. 5.

She was so good in that movie. There is a scene when she is talking on the phone, and her voice cracks . . . .it shows all the conflict and emotion she felt.

I don't think they have ever been turned down.
1951 is when is all started with Gertrude Lawrence. Other names are Debbie Reynolds,Kate Hepburn, Joanne Woodward, Jane Fonda in 1961! Ruby Keeler in '72! Bette Midler. Liz taylor, Ella Fitzgerald, Cher, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock it's really some list.

Harvard's Hasty Pudding has a veeery looong history of dressing up in drag.
So these "ladies" may or may not be gay.
Congratulation to Miss Anne.
This is really a very big honor and one of the early signs for us here in New England that the winter is moving along.
The big day is coming soon!
It's called "Truck Day"
It's when the moving van full of equipment leaves Fenway Park for Florida.
I'm not kidding.
This is at least as big as Ground Hog's Day in Boston!
