Gye Gardner is glued to his phone. Literally.
After Gardner broke his phone headset, he used some superglue to mend it. Then his boss called.
"I guess I didn't think much of it when I put it back into my ear to talk to the boss," Gardner told the Northern Territory News.
Gardner immediately put in his earpiece, and within several minutes, the glue had hardened and fixed the headset to his face.
The Northern Territory News reports it initially crossed Gardner's mind to "use his pocket knife to remove the unwanted gear from his ear":
I realised I didn't want to see myself going to a doctor to put my ear back on after I chopped it off. So I used a spoon.
He ultimately scraped the earpiece out with a spoon, and says of the ordeal, "Yes, it did hurt - but I guess I did hurt my pride much more than it did hurt my ear."
