Elizabeth Edwards 'CONCUBINE' Voice Mail (AUDIO): John Edwards' Wife Goes Off On Andrew Young Over Rielle Hunter

Elizabeth Edwards left Andrew Young an angry voice mail in July 2008, calling John Edwards's mistress, Rielle Hunter, a "concubine" and telling the former staffer to stay away from her family. From the recording:

Elizabeth Edwards: "You're going to have to take care of your baby. And then you and your concubine and your entire family, can stay out of our lives."

ABC's 20/20 aired the recording Friday during a taped interview with Young. According to Young, Elizabeth Edwards left the message in 2008 after the National Enquirer photographed Edwards meeting up with his lovechild and former mistress.

Young says that the former senator and presidential candidate told Elizabeth that he met with Hunter because she was trying to blackmail the senator, and would go public with a "lie" that Edwards was the father. Elizabeth believed her husband and Young's lies that Hunter was Young's mistress, as the staffer had proclaimed.

Young also revealed how he found a sex tape of John Edwards and Rielle Hunter.

Young says Hunter, a documentary filmmaker, left the tape at his North Carolina home. It was labeled "special" and had to be taped together to be played.

Irregardless is an informal term meaning regardless or irrespective, which has caused controversy since it first appeared in the early twentieth century. Most dictionaries list it as "incorrect" or "nonstandard". And what is your problem with my using it?

John uses the term love loosley--doesnt he? He seems to have hurt every person he has stated he allegedly loves. Do you want the short list of names? It goes to his lack of credibility and character. Elizabeth wanted to believe in her husband as all of us wish to do when it comes to our spouses. I believe there are natural born liars in the world. You decided who fits that definition.It appears that Elizabeth, the children, Young and his family has been scarred by the actions of 2 individuals that dont know the definition of selfless. Go back to school Lisa Jo(Rielle) and finish your undergrad degree since you dropped out in your junior year and didnt learn the definition of selfless.Edwards managed to hide behind a puritanistic facade that no longer exist or i should say never existed judging by his long list of lies, deceit, cheating and failure to take accountability.

Let's face it. It hurts like h*ll when your partner lies and betrays their vows.
There is very few people who can deal with that extreme pain by never losing their temper or striking out unfairly at people who aren't at fault but just happen to be in your path at the time.
I think every single person on this website has the hope and belief that we can trust the person whom we have chosen to be our life partner. The betrayal of that trust strikes at the very core of our being.
So, please...give Elizabeth a break. I cannot imagine the pain and humiliation she is experiencing at this time.

Andrew Young is equally as low as John Edwards. He needs to be talked about BIG TIME! And what kind of friend and confidant is he? Why is he telling John Edwards business? Why is he knowingly hurting Elizabeth and her children? Money shouldn't be that important to anyone. And Andrew Young's wife is a poor example of a woman......no compassion, or respect for Elizabeth and her children. I do hope the relatives and friends of the Young's take note to what they're doing, and don't share any secrets, or personal information with them. They are dangerously ruthless. They would probably sell their own kids for a buck.....do they have any kids? I hope not....they are poor examples for parents. I wouldn't want my kids to no that I stooped so low to bring a family down who had already hit rock bottom. Elizabeth is sick, sad and hurt....and the Youngs are killing her while she's alive. They need to find a beter way to earn a living.

I could not agree more. As far as Young is concerned, EE is completely justified in despising him. He arranged trysts for JE and RH and lied and colluded. She suspected he was not telling the truth. I don't see how the tape above is in any way showing her in a bad light given that he had already been part of messing up EE's marriage.
I don't like everything EE has done, but for Young to reveal this in the hopes of discrediting her is garbage.

You know , I really don't care if John Edwards had 12 Ho's and a Boy Toy. I think he would have been a great President. I have real sympathy for Elizabeth too. I just dont give a F! about their personal (sex ) life. I think we yakees are a nation with too many gross, phony amoral hypocrites . If you think someone whom clearly has a narcissistic personality would have been a great president....you are seriously mistaken. We already have seen the ramifications of having a vice president with that mental illness disorder. Just look at the path of destruction that is his legacy for his 8 years in office. Americans are fascinated and obsessed with this kind of soft-core garbage, possibly because very vew people don't have some kind of skeleton in their closet.

That said, no matter what John Edward's good qualities are, he has more than offset anything positive by demonstrating astonishingly poor judgement, and has thus permanently broken a trust with his supporters, not to mention those closest to him.

My wife and I were a big Edwards boosters in 2004, donating to his campaign, working for him, and attending many of his appearances. We now feel like a pair of world-class chumps. It's beyond embarrassing, and has even brought into question our abilities to discern a candidate's true character. Since this story broke, we haven't given a dime to any political candidates or PACs. On a very small scale, this is the kind of damage that John Edwards has wrought by his miserable choices and betrayal of trust.

My heart goes to Elizabeth Edwards and her children. She is not a "poor woman" by any means, and she is not the one who has poured buckets of dirty laundry into public place. She is a very strong woman who has tried to forgive her husband, who has tried to save her family, because strong and generous people DO THAT. It is easy to leave, but it is much more difficult to stay and work problems through, and the ones that blame her for staying with her husband are the ones that would always choose an easy way out. Unfortunatelly, she has been betrayed repeatedly by a person by whom she stood by, regardless of the deapth of emotional wounds that person caused by his behavior. Elizabeth deserves much better than what she has now, and I hope she will eventually get happy again. As for John Edwards - he is a coward, cheap cheat, and I hope his "hangover" has started already and lasts long, long time...
