Steve Buyer, Indiana Congressman, Expected To Announce Retirement

An Indianapolis TV station reports this a.m. that Rep. Steve Buyer (R-IN) will announce his retirement at a presser today.

The report said Buyer will cite his wife's illness for his retirement, but CREW recently filed a complaint asking the OCE to investigate allegations that a foundation Buyer established to award scholarships, had yet to help any students. CREW alleges Buyer used the charity to fund golf fundraisers instead.
