Sandra Bullock's Stepdaughter Allowed Calls, Not Visits, From Mom

It's not exactly a loss for Jesse James�"and it's not what you'd call a massive win for his porn-star ex-wife, Janine Lindemulder, either.

At a hearing today in the contentious custody battle between Sandra Bullock's current hubby and his former missus, a judge ordered that Lindemulder be allowed to make daily phone calls to her 6-year-old daughter, Sunny, who currently resides full-time with the famous couple.

For me the clincher was that

'Lindemulder had fought for (and won) Christmas custody of the girl, she never materialized on the holiday, and in fact had missed four of her past five scheduled visits.'

How can you break a child's heart like that and still call yourself a mother?

I think this is great, not only are Sandra and Jesse a high profile couple but they also are loving, hands-on parents and they try to do these things in private to protect their daughter. The fact that they are fighting for custody and raising her together is awesome and speaks to both of their characters.

Porn stars/prostitutes should not be allowed to have custody of their kids so long as they keep prostituting themselves, shows selfishness, lack of any morals and not in the best interest of the kids. The kids under the care of sex workers will probably grow up on drugs or follow in their parents footsteps.

For all you out there who think that children should be with their parents no matter what. I recommend "Precious." I'm not saying this woman does not love her child, but I'm thinking that her line of work, does not give her much credibility as the better parent. Jesse James seemed to have found the love of his life, and seems to be the more grounded parent. This is not about Sandra.

I feel sorry for the mother Janine Lindemulder, as she's up against people who are able to spend millions dollars in attorneys fees; the step-mother is supposedly "America's Sweetheart.", and even if he is her ex-husband (who never saw the child until the mother went to jail for tax-evasion), she must feel so betrayed by him as well. So Ms. Lindemulder is probably depressed but for the sake of her daughter she needs to pull herself together.

It's fascinating how Sandra Bullocks is seemingly always pulling for the underdog with her various charitable contributions, and even the Academy Award role she is currently nominated for speaks to her altruism, yet she's using all her money, and all her influence to prevent Janine Lindemulder from being a mother to her child.

Ms. Bullock could probably mentor and help Ms. Lindemulder, except that Ms. Bullock has discovered since Sunny (Janine Lindemulder's daughter), has been living with her for approximately a year, that she likes being a mom to a little girl; so too bad Janine Lindemulder.

Lindemulder married to a proud white ex con white supremacist . She continues to think that making porn is a good choice for parenting for her child. Read the fact that she doesn't filter her prison experiences with a six year old. Don't feel sorry for her because she has a history of doing what's best and easy for herself. One of her reasons for having to go to prison is because she's not good with money.

JL's husband also is someone who has ties to outlaw biker groups who run drugs that also commit murder. All this was JL's choice so I would have to say there's not a whole lot of reason to look at her as in terms of David vs Goliath. She has a history of making poor choices and continues to do so.

Actually the family court judge banned Lindemulder from working in the porn industry again so she's had to find another means to support herself.

This is the first I've read anywhere that Ms. Lindemulder's is like a Klan's men so maybe it's propaganda by Bullock's and her husband.

Also, Bullock and her husband's allegation of drug use have been unsubstantiated as the court has conducted surprise drug tests on Ms Lindemulder, all of which she passed. Her parole violation back to a halfway house hopefully has nothing to do with setback in that regard. I hope Ms. Lindemulder knows that there are people praying for her.

Sometimes the obsession with the rights of birth parents is just wrong. Some parents shouldn't be allowed near their children. And this woman is going to screw this kids life up.

It's very sad that this child's mother chose drugs, tax evasion, and an ex-con over her daughter. Thank goodness she has a well-grounded father (and step-mother) who appear to truly put her first. With a mother like that, this little girl needs all the love she can get.

As a divorce mom who is getting remarried this year, I can tell you that the phone call situation is very common when there is a concern that the parent is endangering the child or even that the parent is just not in good enough shape to handle the child. There may also be some risk if the mom is free that she will run off with her daughter. It sounds to me like the judge is taking the safest route for the child to be living in a stable home while the custody situation is worked out. This little girl's mother may love her- but not be the best, most stable person to take care of her. It sounds like James and Bullock have provided a loving, stable home for the child. If the mother cannot do that, the little girl will be better off just talking to her on the phone for now.

The child's mother should ask for virtual visits - via the internet (webcam, Skype, whatever). Seriously.

A judge here in Illinois gave an unprecedented ruling in a child custody case last week; it ordered a mom to allow the dad virtual visits, via webcam. It's not ideal, but it's the next best thing to being there.

I've seen worse mothers given full custody of kids. The ONLY reason Jesse James got custody was Sandra Bullock. He's no shining star himself.

When a mom doesn't bother to pick her kid up at Christmas, knowing the devastation, she's no longer a mother. It can only hurt the little girl to have contact with her mom, because obviously the drugs and whatever else will always be more important. Why should a kid have to wait for her mom to get it together? I get that kids love their parents, no matter what, but that doesn't mean they aren't better off with someone who is not going to hurt them.

Jesse James' company, West Coast Choppers, rakes in millions of dollars a year building custom bikes. He also is the host of a t.v. show called Motorcycle Mania and former host of Monster Garage. I watched him on the Apprentice. He made it to the final four; he's a pretty astute businessman. He came from nothing and built himself a pretty good life I'd say. So much for not being the sharpest knife, huh?!!

the whole new wife, stepmom thing is a really difficult position.

years ago, my sister had a little girl when she was only 19, so we, the family, were really involved and helped out a lot. at the time, i didnt think my sister was qualified to parent her little girl. i was basically a surrogate mom. i really wanted her to just live with my husband and me.

but after my neice stayed with me for a 2 week period, ill never forget towards the end of that time all she wanted was her mother. when my sister pulled up in her barely legal car with her ridiculous short shorts outfit and newest boy toy - her and my neice hugged and loved like starved orphans.

i realized right then and there, my neice loved and needed her mom - whatever her faults, my sister loved her baby and they needed each other.

15 years later, they are both fine. close as ever and my sister has been a wonderful mom. she's only 36 and her daughters in high school!

be careful, tread lightly when dealing with children and respect the parents. just be careful.
