Emanuel Steps Up His Apology After 'Retarded' Comment

Wall Street Journal:

Washington Wire reported earlier today that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel privately apologized last week to the Special Olympics after the Journal reported that he used the word "retarded" in a derogatory manner.

But advocates for people with disabilities didn't think that apology, coming in a phone call to Special Olympics head Tim Shriver, was enough.

I guess that Rahm has never been to an IEP with a disabled child. He lives in a corrupted world dominated by money and psuedo, self-serving ideology.

Obama spoke volumes by appointing him chief of staff. The best apology would be his resignation.

The Special Olympics does not accept his apology nor are they authorized to issue apologies to mean-spirited opportunists who use the plight of the disabled to make themselves feel better about what's inside of themselves.

Rahn needs to look in a mirror. I could point out a few defects in his appearance, but the inside is even uglier, as his conduct has shown. Obama needs to help him resign.

Will Sarah Palin ask Limbaugh to apologize for calling Liberals “Retards”?

In a weird and irrational rant, Rush Limbaugh started to call us, liberals, “Looney Tunes” characters, “kooks”...etc. He said that he doesn’t understand the controversy since liberals who complained about health care reform “are retards”.

Limbaugh made it clear that he won’t going to apologize because we “are retards”. So now I’m wondering if Lady Sarah will head to her computer’s keyboard and type one of her famous Facebook’s posts to denounce Limbaugh’s comments and ask him to resign. But we all know that Sarah Palin will never call out Limbaugh.

Of course, the story about 'buying her own books' with donor money is sadly Palinesque. And just ONE of the funny details revealed in the SarahScamPAC.

But .. here is a serious issue, that people SHOULD be concerned about. The 'use' of Military Bases for political purposes AND taxpayers picking up the tab for enhanced security.

More than $132,000.00 from SarahPAC money was used for the book tour. Is that what her fans think they are donating their hard-earned money for? So that Sarah can promote her book? Private jets ($27,000), expensive hotels ($1700.00 for 2 nights) the shrink-wrapped bus ($13,000) and almost $28,000 for a photographer -- (fans paid for their pictures too??) Why didn't Harper Collins pay for this? Or is there some double dipping going on??


So here are my common sense questions:

If Sarah used the PAC money for expenses on her book tour, then it was a Political Event?

And if it was a Political Event, why was she allowed to 'campaign' on Military Bases??
