Homeless Lose In Boulder; Nudists Still Have A Chance
After a rally last month of about 60 homeless people who called for a moratorium on a law that lets police ticket people sleeping in city parks, the Boulder City Council decided to keep the law, 9news.com reports.
Currently, Boulder Police can give people who sleep in parks or on sidewalks a ticket for camping without a permit. The ticket comes with a $100 fine and many of the homeless end up in jail for failing to pay it... Council members said they did not think a moratorium would fix the issue.
In the same meeting, a proposed ordinance that would ban nudity for anyone older than 10 who exposes any portion of his or her private parts, including female nipples, was tabled for further consideration.
