E-book readers are not going to be the people who buy iPads, especially since Apple is allowing publishers to set prices that make no sense.

That was always going to be the case. Most people could see that but those writing articles kept trying to make this a Kindle vs iPad situation when it wasn't even close to being about that. Steve Jobs running his mouth bad mouthing the Kindle as well never made any sense either.
