Tea Party

CNN:

As the Tea Party's first national convention gets under way, members are united in their anger but divided over the future of the movement.

The convention is marketed as an opportunity to bring Tea Party leaders from across the country together to network and support the movement's goals. But some see the high-ticket convention, organized by a for-profit organization, as contradictory to the group's bottom-up, grass-roots beginnings.

Oh, I really trust Sarah Palin to carry the Teabaggers to victory! We shouldn't get in her way, to see them come to complete victory. Oh victory, where is thy sting?

What are they putting is this tea anyway? It must be some bad stuff.

Some of the whacko conspiracy theorist tea bag partiers think the CIA is putting tranquilizers in the municipal water systems. I think the CIA is putting prozac in the tea bags and then smuggling the tainted tea bags to the town hall meetings and the convention. Otherwise, how would you explain this nonsense.

heard the AP reported that Jethro and Ellie May were spotted at the Convention. Seems like most of the teabaggers relate to Jethro, he also had a sixth grade education!

Republicans need to convince the Tea Party to join forces with them against the democrats.

If they remain a third party, the GOP is screwed.

Republican leadership knows that.
12:56 PM on 02/05/2010
If the Republicans get the Tea Party to join them, they will lose the moderate/independent votes. If they don't, they will lose votes from this lunatic fringe. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Poor GOP.

Notice how every "news" organization finds it must devote all kinds of resources to cover this cluser#@$% of 600 wackadoodles. There are more reporters than participants. Yet when when hundreds of thousands of sane Americans filled the national mall in 2003 to protest the Iraq war, hardly anyone covered it (so it never happened). Would you like more proof that the media cartel is pure corporate propaganda?

It's a bit of a long read, but lays out the entire plot.

"Fractures emerge as Tea Party convenes" Trumpets CNN.

And the fracture is??????????????????????????????????

"In November, Tea Party groups received credit for affecting the outcome of a special election for New York's 23rd Congressional District. Local Republican leaders backed state Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava because they thought she would appeal to centrists and independents."

Come on Kristi. You should be able to do better than that. 3 months old "NON-News"

Plus $550 for the convention. Rooms at the Opryland Hotel run from $200-$300 per night and the food is expensive.

And the teabaggers are protesting against wasteful spending.
