I'd rather a joke be in charge than a nightmare. Democrats are useless, while Republicans are malignant. In either case, the American people are the losers.

Did she say what year?

Keep going Nancy Pelosi, you've been the best friend to middle class America, fight tooth and nail to get us the best deal.... something our President has been sorely remiss at accomplishing.

Don't know how this will pan out, but if it includes our public option and anti-trust legislation.... then Easter is ok to begin to take back America!

If you get hammered down again, my policy will be to no longer vote for any incumbent in congress that did not fight vocally, and loudly for the middle class, meaning real reform.

No dem or repub will ever again get my vote after this massacre of their majorities using excuses, shady dealing, smoke screens or whatever keeps congress so pathetically against middle class while funding their jobs through corporate deals.

Pelosi is one of the few who are our friends in congress. You can count them on your hands.

Very confusing article. The president should not sign any legislation unless it has been passed in identical form by both houses of congress before going to the president for his signature.

It's not Speaker Pelosi or Harry Reid that's the problem. It's those conservadems that are keeping us from going forward, probably many of your own congressmen. Democrats need every vote they can get so they won't call out any names in their own party. This is why they keep telling Democrats to CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN. If they tell you which one, that puts them out as a target. There are many of them facing re-election challenges this year, including all of the conservadems. They won't give in no matter what. They are concerned about their jobs.

So the answer for all of us is to CALL YOUR House and Senate representatives, even if you've already called them before. They all turned into punks after the Mass. election so they don't know exactly what their constituents want them to do.

This a damn shame. I can't find anymore words...this is a damn shame.

I wonder if Senator Harry Reid is, covertly, against Health Care reform. Speaker Pelosi I'm
not sure about at all. When the Democrats took control of both houses in '06 with the mandate
to end the Iraq war and they dropped that ball; then took impeachment of President Bush off
the table, I just began to consider that they were completely unprincipled.

Note that Madam Pelosi has a fantastic healthcare plan. (Taxpayer-funded, no less.) Maybe the voters of California can put an end to that in November.

It's third-party time, folks.

I'm sure madam Pelosi would be happy to support the most effective and progress legislation possible. However, america is full of rednecks and idiots and capitalist pigs who exploit their fears. Getting anything past these powerful entities will be remarkable.

I realize now that a real medicare for all Americans will not happen in my life time. All I want now is for the democrats in congress and in the white house to push like hell for the best health care possible. Better than France's, Canada's our whoevers and let the f***ing retards defeat it realizing all the while that they, the retards would defeat even the worst health care compromise that is now the senate bill. At least be defeated about something of value
