When the Washington D.C. area got pummeled by record-breaking snowfall this week, the White House new media team did what it does best -- make a video.
Preliminary reports put the latest round of snowfall at over a foot, adding to larger totals amassed last weekend. Now it's official, Washington D.C. has already broken the record for the most snow in a winter, with 54.9 inches so far this season.
President Obama named the bothersome blizzard "Snowmageddon," a title that has taken hold among district residents. It seems that everyone, except for perhaps First Canine "Bo," has been flummoxed by the powerful winter weather.
And in case anyone needs proof that the snow, wind and ice were indeed whipping around the White House, their blog has kindly posted a video of this week's scene outside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
