What happens when New York's kings of cool meet fashion's newest rising star? New York notables found out Saturday night when Nur Khan and Paul Sevigny opened their new restaurant, Kenmare, for a cocktail reception celebrating the much-buzzed-about Prabal Gurung.
Gurung, the Nepalese designer who has quickly become the darling of the fashion world, debuted at Bryant Park Saturday afternoon in front of a crowd including Anna Wintour, Rachel Zoe, Zoe Saldana, and Robert Verdi. After a dinner for family and friends at Soho House, he then joined the likes of Becka Diamond, Max Snow, Magnus Berger, Louise Roe, Sabine Heller, Chessy Wilson, Mary Fontmillas, Dalia Oberlander, and Remy Bennett for a preview of the new Kenmare space.
Located in the former Civetta space at 98 Kenmare Street in NoLita, Kenmare recently named acclaimed Little Owl owner Joey Campanaro as the restaurant's chef. Campanaro told the New York Times he plans a Mediterranean menu.
