Kobe Bryant A No-Show At All-Star Weekend Party

Posted: Updated:

TMZ reported earlier in the week that Kobe Bryant appeared on promotional posters for an All-Star Weekend party featuring scantily clad models.

While the club hosting the party maintains that Kobe signed a contract agreeing to appear at the event, TMZ now reports that the All-Star failed to show up. A sign at the club said, "Due to circumstances beyond our control, Mr. Kobe Bryant will not be in attendance tonight. No refund beyond this point."

An ankle injury will prevent Bryant from making his 12th All-Star appearance tonight. The LA Times' Lakers blog notes that in the last eleven All-Star Games, Kobe has led the West team in scoring five times and won two MVP awards and one co-MVP.
