The Cut caught up with CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner and Michelle Obama favorite Sophie Theallet to ask her about the inspiration for her fall 2010 collection. Theallet said she thought of peasant girls, who evolve and become richer with fabric.

I like it! Very pretty collection. It's feminine but not too innocent either. I could actually see myself wearing many of the dresses. That last grey gown was gorgeous. Well done.
