The 8 Companies That Gave The Most To Haiti

More than 350 companies donated $146.8 million to Haiti earthquake relief. CNN Money put together a top eight list of Haiti's largest donors, which include:

  1. Teva Pharmaceuticals: 7 million in products
  2. Jefferies & Co.: 6.5 million
  3. Becton, Dickinson and Co.: 5.6 million
  4. Carnival: 5 million
  5. Digicel: 5 million
  6. Abbott Labs: 5 million
  7. Deutsche Bank AG: 4.9 million
  8. General Electric: 4.1 million

Carnival? The cruise ship that docked in Haiti during the first days of the Earthquake so people could frolic in the water?

The rest of the story on that was that Carnival EMPLOYS Haitians when they dock there. It's a reciprocal arrangement and I am sure that Haiti is grateful to them. I am glad they returned the gratitude.

'Feed the Children' didn't feed the children even though they took in money and claimed on their website they were doing a lot more than they were actually doing.

All they did was send a handful of doctors who were treating people medically and were unaware of the scam
