Americans' Favorite Foreign Countries (PHOTOS, POLL)

Posted: Updated:

Gallup has released data from polls that show American's attitudes to the 20 nations that figure most prominently in news and foreign policy. Can you guess who comes out as America's favorite nation?

It's true, despite their continuing efforts to prevent Team USA topping the Winter Olympics medal table, Canada is America's favorite nation.

Coming second and third are the Brits and Germans.

Iran, North Korea and Afghanistan are heading up the bottom of the table, with only 10% of Americans having a positive view of Iran.

The poll, conducted from February 1-3, asked respondents whether their opinion of a particular country was "very favorable, mostly favorable, mostly unfavorable or very unfavorable."
