The Most Amazing Craigslist Ad Up In Here! (PICTURE)

This is quite possibly the greatest Craigslist ad of all time. And not in the "crazy person had access to a computer and wants a woman to sit in a tub of pasta" sort of way. In the "somebody awesome needs a roommate" sort of way. How could anyone turn this down? C'mon. Walls and a ceiling?!?!?! You should be all up in this hoe. (via Consumerist)

That was pretty funny. Hopefully this guy was simply mocking the horrible urban language and doesn't actually talk that way. I for one think the language is a bit ridiculous­. While a bit of slang is ok in language most young people today have bastardize­d the english language. While it was was primarily started by black urban youth it crossed over to all races and income levels. Its out of control now to the point where so many kids can't turn it off and speak that way in all areas of their life. While I am a fan of old skool rap unfortunat­ely in the last decade or so hip hop and rap has made it cool to sound uneducated­. When I was coming up in the 80's we had a few urban influenced words like Bad" meaning good and "Word" meaning yes but it was mixed in with mostly proper American english. Now its just getting out of control. Even those white middle income kids who speak decent American english have begun to adopt that urban accent. Just listen to the young artists like Justin Beiber or 20 something artists like Justin Timberlake­. Neither grew up in the inner city but somehow feel it necessary to add a bit of urban twang to their speech.

I am completely shocked and appalled by all the people saying "this isn't funny, this is laughing at ignorance"­, or "was that even english?" etc etc.

Surely you can tell that this was written by someone with at least -some- education that is attempting to write a joke ad.

How many O.G.'s do -you- know that use the word transcends­? Come on people, laugh for the sake of laughing, and stop worrying about how you look when you do it for once.
