The Tea Party Movement's Chicago Roots

Sitting in a Starbucks last week, a few blocks from his Lakeview home, Eric Odom mused about the irony of the ever-intensifying Tea Party movement.

He has found Chicago -- bastion of the Democratic Party and home of Barack Obama -- to be a strong base of operations for his American Liberty Alliance, one of several groups trying to marshall the forces of grass-root discontent of bank bailouts, deficit spending and big government in anticipation of this fall's midterm elections.
