National Margarita Day 2010: How To Celebrate, Events, Margarita History

National Margarita Day 2010 is being celebrated today, Feb. 22, 2010, across the country.

The salute to the margarita, which the Nashua Telegraph notes is "the most popular tequila-based cocktail in the U.S.," is celebrated annually on Feb. 22.

There are plenty of ways to celebrate National Margarita Day and Wikihow has compiled a list of ideas.

Suggestions include trying different margarita serving methods, experimenting with different ingredient ratios, trying different margarita colors, experimenting with the fruit, and creating a margarita based dessert.

But Wikihow notes you don't even need an actual margarita to enjoy the holiday. You can create mocktail margaritas.
