Curling Cuties! 15 Irresistible Vancouver Olympics Curlers (PHOTOS)

Huffington Post     First Posted: 04/25/10 06:12 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 04:35 PM ET

Curling has taken its fair share of criticism over the years, but it has also become a popular Winter Olympics sport. According to a recent episode of "The Simpsons," curling curling is now the new cool trend. Stephen Colbert even practiced with the curlers of the United States, but the team declined his request to be on the team. This year, we learned that Canada's Kristi Moore is pregnant while competing with her nation's curling squad. Now it is time to determine the cutest curler at the Vancouver Olympics. Scroll down for photos.

Doesn't anyone find it awfully suspicious that curling athletes have suddenly become much younger and good-looking? Sorry 1998 Gold Medal-winning Women's Canadian Olympic Curling Team, but check out the much older and plain-looking group of women curlers:

I smell a desperate marketing ploy by the World Curling Federation. Anyone else wanna help me call them on it?

OMG! You're right its a vast conspiracy. Why didn't we all realize it?
What a maroon.
Do you even know what these women go through to qualify for the Olympics?
I'll give you a hint...it doesn't involve a swimsuit competition.

Yeah, that's why they practice for years and years - so HuffPo will put 'em in a "cutest" contest.

If ice dancing can be called a sport, then curling is a sport.

If figure skating can be called a sport, then ice dancing is definitely a sport!

You are missing a lot if your definition of winter sports leaves out strategy and tactics and only includes going fast on cold stuff

This has been up for days and they STILL haven't added Cheryl Bernard from Canada.

The LA Times has done three stories about curling in the past week and mentioned her in all three as the (s) ex symbol of the sport.

What about Denmark's Camilla Jensen? 6' dark hair and eyes that melt ice.
10:01 AM on 02/25/2010
How could 6' Camilla Jensen of Denmark possibly be left out?

Cheryl Bernard from Canada would definitely take gold here. She looks incredible in those pants.
09:11 PM on 02/25/2010
Gotta agree, she's definitely one of, if not the, most gorgeous lady on the curling ice. How she's not even here is... well, same judgment style as figure skating.

Can somebody please tell me why curling is segregated by gender?
02:13 AM on 02/25/2010
1. The stones are *very* heavy.
2. Tradition - curling leagues seem to be mainly separated by gender. But there are some mixed leagues as well, and that might be a nice addition to the olympics.

Where's that dark haired girl from the Danish team?

Jeff Isaacson is HOT.

Some glaring omissions, namely Canada's third on the men's side (hubba). Curling is a hot sport. Hott.

Indeed. Indeed.

I love the way he had his shirt unzipped during yesterday's gold medal game. He oozes sex appeal that one. Apparently he is a firefighter.

Where is that raven haired "woman", not a little girl, on the Canadian team ?
11:37 AM on 02/24/2010
You mean Cheryl Bernard. In her mid-40s she is by FAR the hottest babe on the ice. Stunning woman. Great bod too!!

Madeleine Dupont makes me want to move to Denmark. But Cheryl is right up there too and Canada is so much closer!

That's one I expected to see, too! I have not watch very much Olympics coverage, but was struck by her looks enough to remember.
