This man is one of the most repulsive individuals in America, followed closely by Summers, Geithner (their lieutenants) and the rest of the heisters ambulating the streets of this country looking for MORE dough.

Rham is a DLC, blue dog making, corporatist, Republican-lite, neo-liberal. He's what turns my stomach about the modern Democratic Party. He and his ilk are one of the reasons that even though I might vote for Democrats, I am loathe to call myself a Democrat. These guys think they're being politically smart and savvy when what they're being is Republicans. With Rham in control of the policy agenda, the real Republicans are returning to power this November and the fake Republicans who ran as Democrats in November 2008 will be lame ducks until 2012. Whenever the electorate has a clear understanding that the choices they're being presented with are between a pretend Democrat and a real Republican, they'll vote for the real Republican every time.

Since President Obama was sworn into office the Rethugs mounted a campaign to harrass and discredit key members of his staff and appointments.

They attacked Mazen Asbahi, Van Jones. Then they attacked Obama's communications director Anita Dunn, up next was Desirée Rogers after Michaele and Tareq Salahi made headlines as the White House 1st official state dinner party crashers.

YAWN!
Now Rahm is the new focus and I hope he doesn't bow down.

Rahm is a corporate stooge. It become clear just what kind of president Obama was going to be when he named Rahm his consigliere--a president with basically the same agenda as GW Bush. After serving as a go-to hatch man for Clinton, Rahm was rewarded with 3 year gig in " investment banking" (logical next step, right?) where he made a quick $18Million. Then to the board of directors of Fannie Mae where he pocketed 6 figure director fees.

This one is especially good: the best interpretation for him is that he was paid for doing nothing. Because if he was actually active as a board member, he'd be complicit in FNMA's total collapse (which was it Rahm?).

This guy is a Chicago thug and any expectation of Hope or Change was dashed when he was named Chief of Staff

Exactly! (I can't substantiate all your facts, but they add up to what I have read about him.)

I seldom criticize Rahm, and never before on HuffPo. I focus on the financial foxes -- Bernake, Geithner, and Summers -- who are sorting our eggs ... but Rahm is another example of how we on the left have been blindsided by Obama. Obama is clearly heart and soul in the pocket of the financial services sector.

Mostly I don't criticize Rahm because discussing him leaves a foul taste in my mouth. Writing about him brings a sense of disgust.

In his own way, he's a Rove on the left. IMHO.
