Speaking of ethics, two guys with a buttload of it were on Bill Moyer's show last night.

David Boies and Ted Olson who argued the case against Prop 8 in California.

They made a slam dunk case noting that the Supreme Court has already ruled that marriage is an INDIVIDUAL (not state) right and they've also ruled that laws against sodomy were unconstitutional

My BIO: FORMER DEMOCRAT NEW INDEPENDENT!

This the first action on my part, just can't be waiting every 6, 4, 2 years to depose one of those monarchs...
Will vote them out, but needing something more dynamic them the corrupt voting process...
They wont get much revenue from me... Downgrading everything possible...
If every citizen cut $20.00 to $50.00 from their avoidable monthly expenses and chance their party alliance from dem or rep to independent...I doubt they won't get the message...

post scriptum: $50.00 multiplied for several millions would be a considerable chunk of revenue lost direct and indirectly...It would show more power than words can express...

Pretty soon there won't be anything left of our once great nation to sell or steal or give away!!! Except for a very few like Grayson, our reps don't have any ethics, I doubt that they even know what the word means. I don't think they are able to develop ethics.

Things like this is what drives the patriot/tea/oathers movements. Just look at the quotes from average people in this NYT article http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/16/us/politics/16teaparty.html

having worked and retired from a major corporation quite a few years in sales......one thing was understood....

If you let a contract (and we bid ours no bid contracts are a crazy practice) to anyone

And it was brought to light you received money from this contractor

To grease the skids for a contractor you award a contract to

YOU WERE FIRED NO QUESTIONS ASK........NO PANEL........NO SECOND CHANCE

what we have today.....

representatives who sell their sole for the millions that will secure future generations of their name for all time......

the supreme court gave a deadly blow with unlimited buying of our representatives and its now legal

the ethics committee has ruled bribing our representatives is not a problem even though this is aginst ever ethics rule we embrace to protect us

mainly because they are above conventional laws.......they bend change and have lawyers to advise them they are in fact not accountable for law we are forced or feel we need to follow......it is time to draw a line in the sand........if you feel the same join me in correcting this starting with the one we owe most of our lost freedoms to........ no to mention giving our hard earned money to corporations BUSH/CHANEY

Republicans love hearing this, that's why the meme is showing up more and more on the right. 'Throw them all out' throws the the majority out which would put us right back into the bush/cheney/rove horror of the 00's. We need to call out these individuals and replace them with true progressives who are on the side of the people.

From the Marcy Kaptur website

"She has long argued for the need for political reform, calling on her own party to grow less dependent on fundraising and to better listen to the working class. A member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, she has described herself as part of the “non-money wing of our Democratic caucus."

Hey.. it is refreshing to see Democrats and Republicans can find common ground and finally all admit its all about the Benjamin’s

What i interesting to me is that almost every comment here is non-partisan, just digusted with Washington in general. Maybe some day the people ca actually take back our country again!!

Gives us in a New York a sense of how bad Charlie Rangel must really be if these clowns found that he actually did something wrong.

That so-called Ehtics Committee needs to investigated themselves for their own ethics.

This and the Supreme court ruling that a Coporation is a person just takes the cake & just re-affirms that all politicians are BOUGHT & PAID FOR.....

They have now made it clear that government is for sale. What next, a national shakedown for campaign contributions?

you award a company like backwater a no bid contract worth one billion (about to happen)

they in turn contribute (kickback) to the lawmakers that supported the contract millions
