Bill Maher Compares Democrats To "Joke" NBC (VIDEO)

Friday night's "Real Time With Bill Maher" featured a panel discussion on health care reform. Maher and the guests broke down what the Democrats need to do pass the bill, including the potential use of reconciliation. Getting fed up, Maher make it clear: "If they can't get this through right now, then they're NBC. They're are joke."

Where did the billons who voted for President Obama go? Is it possible they really didn't exist or were just enrolled to vote and taken to the polls based on race, then went back to whatever they were doing before the knock on the door and have no clue? i think yes...and that is a conundrum(sic) of Democracy. They voted, then went back to the cave not caring about what happens next. Yes, you know I'm right. Makes governing dand near impossible particularly when the party in power won't look ehind the curtain. It's worse than what Maher describes and this bunch of NEW Democrat sucking boobs try to defend here. The Democrats are lame, weak, miserable sh*ts for sure but there's more:

Solid majorities and a popular Presidential win have yielded SH*T! Imagine if Republicans had the same situation! Would they be miserable huddled boobs begging for crumbs? No frikin' way! So what's the REAL TRUTH?

Congressional Democrats are rotten from the top down. They're lousy with lobbyist money like the Republicans. They are DESIGNED TO BE LOSERS! A while back Mmaher said the Dems were what the GOP used to be while the GOP are in some kind of mental institution. That was before the teabagging nutcases started getting media time for being loud mouthed a-holes. The reality caught up & surpassed maher's gag as far as the right wing's mental illness that passes for politics. But the GOP is in lockstep, they are all on the same meds. While the Dems are diverse enough that they have members who can screw things up. If a GOP member pulled the crap Stupak did their office would be in a bus shelter someplace. The Dem leadership needs to knuckle down.

On the one hand, I too want the Dems to get this done and over with. The GOP is not bargaining in good faith.
On the other hand, I have to wonder what Bill has against NBC. What did they do to upset him? Without any reference points, his attack on them is meaningless.

I think, as usual, Bill nailed it. The Dems need to let a testicle or two drop. I've not seem a bigger bunch of cowards in office ever. Obama has a beautiful mind and great aspirations as do most progressives, but in his quest for bipartisanship (being Mr. nice nice) he's letting the other side walk all over his good intentions. The other side, must I remind everyone, is comprised of some of the dumbest kooks and conspiracy nuts the world knows (most of which are blatantly RACIST) and they will never EVER agree with Obama on anything so stop pretending like intelligent banter will eventually bring them around. Ignore them, roll over them, or ridicule them into the earth but don't think for a second you will be able to govern with them. Take the gloves off Obama, you've got one shot at this. If you fail, the country will be forever in the hands of right wing fundamentalists - you think it's bad now? Just wait. The other side is already viewing November as a referendum on the country's identity. I suggest you think about doing the same.
