Liz Cheney Group, Keep America Safe, Questions Loyalties Of Justice Department Lawyers (VIDEO)

Keep American Safe, the brainchild of Liz Cheney released a new video Tuesday challenging the loyalties of Justice Department lawyers who "represented or advocated for terrorist detainees" during the Bush administration.

The video entitled "Who Are The Al Qaeda Seven?" shows an image of an Investor's Business Daily headline that reads "DOJ: Department of Jihad?" and singles out DOJ lawyers who represented terrorist suspects as well as Obama administration Attorney General Eric Holder.

"Who are these government officials? Eric Holder will only name two. Why the secrecy behind the other 7? Whose values do they share?" the clip says. "Tell Eric Holder "Americans have a right to know the identity of the 'Al-Qaeda 7.'"

This video is the latest in a series of attacks from the group, which has repeatedly knocked heads with Holder.

Last month, the concern overflowed into the Senate when Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) called on Holder to name all Justice Department lawyers who had previously represented detainees. In response, the Department announced that nine appointees had, but Holder declined to identify any lawyer whose work hadn't already been reported.

"Holder has hired lawyers who used to represent terrorists to work in President Obama's Justice Department, and he won't tell the American people who they are," Keep America Safe spokesman Michael Goldfarb told Politico's Ben Smith. "These lawyers did far more than represent criminals. They have propagandized on behalf of our enemies, engaging in a worldwide smear campaign against the CIA, the U.S. military and the United States itself while we are at war."

You people amaze me. Dick or Liz Chaney really are not really important regarding the issue at hand. The real question is WHY WOULD ERIC HOLDER HIRE A BUNCH OF LAWYERS WHO HAVE A HISTORY OF DEFENDING TERRORISTS to assist him in his job with the justice department? I'm aware that your idea of THE LAW and/or keeping this nation safe might be a little idealistic, but open your eyes! How would you react if a conservative attorney general hired several lawyers with backgrounds of DEFENDING MEMBERS OF THE KU KLUX KLAN? I get it that you hate George W, Dick Cheney, and Liz, but try to use a little common sense regarding exactly which foxes should be guarding the henhouse.

Popsin, you do realize many liberal African American Lawyers defend Klan members, right? Do you really think democrats would argue that they are Klan sympathizers for that? Maybe the left would just realize that giving a defense to the people you abhor is what makes America great. These people aren't putting us at risk, they're fulfilling the promise of our country.

KAREEM- You are totally missing the point. If ANY black lawyers (typically ACLU) volunteer to defend Klan members I have no problem with it. In fact, if ANY lawyers want to volunteer to defend terrorists I have no problem with that either. The problem is this: These lawyers who volunteered to defend terrorists (our enemies) are now being hired to work FOR THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT. Frankly, I have a legitimate problem with their probable loyalties. Here is another question for you. Should Klan members be hired to work as community organizers in predominantly black neighborhoods? That doesn't make a lot of sense either, does it? If you cannot see the PROBLEM with hiring these lawyers to work in our justice department, then I give up.

Why are they targeting these Defense lawyers? And insunuating that they are: "engaging in a worldwide smear campaign against the Cia, the Us Military and the United States itself while we are at war" -Michael Goldfarb, Spokesman for KEEP AMERICA SAFE. Seems to me that this group is paranoid, and devoid of rationale. My question: Do they have proof of these allegations? Then I see slander all over these contentions. Time to sue and shut them down. Question: For a trial, don't you need a defense team and a prosecuting team? Otherwise it isn't a trial, right. So how else can you proceed to trial against these terrorist? Shouldn't these so called patriots know this. What's the screaming and hollerin' all about then?
